Al has an active history of music performance and production in various capacities over the past 25 years, is a certified Digidesign ProTools operator and trainer, having successfully completed the certification programme at Avid Technology UK headquarters at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, UK.

In addition to this Al also holds a Class I BA Honours Degree in Creative Music Technology from University of Sheffield, is qualified at PGCE level, is a registered practitioner of the HE Academy and has experience of teaching at community, FE and HE level, currently active as a Senior Lecturer in Music.
