Al McNichol has an active history of music industy performance and production in various capacities over the past 30 years. He is a certified Digidesign ProTools operator and trainer, having successfully completed the certification programme at Avid Technology UK headquarters at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, UK.

Al is also experienced in music education at community, FE and HE level. He is currently active as a PhD research student and is a Senior Lecturer in Music . He holds a Class 1 BA (Hons) Degree in Creative Music Technology from the University of Sheffield, is qualified to PGCE level, and is a registered Fellow of the HE Academy.
